traces

Traces is an ongoing series of experiments with monotype printing, in which I explore the impressions left by ink on paper through different transfer techniques, particularly the use of textiles and trace monotype.

I am interested in how materials respond to contact, pressure, and gesture. Ink settles, spreads, and breaks apart, revealing unexpected textures and forms.

In this process, where chance plays an essential role, I am less interested in reproducing an image than in allowing figures to emerge. Some echo the figura I observe and photograph during my wanderings; others, more abstract or familiar, gradually become part of my evolving vocabulary of forms.
