Bio

ouico is a transdisciplinary artist and independent researcher exploring how consciousness shapes what we see. Her practice begins with a simple proposition: to look at the world before naming it.
Informed by non-dual philosophies and years of meditative practice, she works with ephemeral images and materials, chemical experiments and overlooked surfaces. She is interested in how forms emerge, how the mind gives them meaning, and what happens when they disappear.
At the heart of her practice lies an art of noticing: an exploration of the overlooked, the accidental and the seemingly insignificant. Moving between photography, material experimentation and digital processes, her work invites viewers to slow down and give the ordinary their full attention.
A graduate of UC Berkeley, where she was a Fulbright Scholar, ouico draws on a background in philosophy, art history, law and historical studies. She has been selected for international residencies including Glitch II (2022) and Glitch III (2023) at Château du Feÿ in Burgundy, France, and Mars College (2024) in the California desert. She works from her studio in Paris, France.
