Mountains of the Moon

Conceived and filmed during the Mars College artist residency in the Southern California desert in 2024, Mountains of the Moon is an experimental short film exploring consciousness, memory and the shifting boundaries between dreams and reality.

A mysterious VHS tape found in the desert draws its protagonist into a loop where observer and observed become one. Blending analogue footage with surreal transitions born from the glitches and imperfections of early generative AI models, the film explores the instability of perception and the stories we construct about ourselves.
